Colyn and Sainte Vie say they made ‘Desert Sunrise’ to open their Maxa x Mayan Warrior sunrise B2B at Burning Man in 2025. It didn’t disappear after the set. Both kept playing it on their own, and they brought it back together at Tomorrowland’s Planaxis stage in 2026.
The track finally came out on September 18 through Interstellar Recordings, their first official collaboration. By then, it had spent a year finding its place in their sets.
The pair say they wanted to hold onto the feeling of that desert sunrise. Slow chords, bass synths and a spoken vocal give the track room to unfold. The title isn’t just atmosphere; it points to the moment the track was made for.
