At the close of 2021, John Digweed’s Quattro Artists offered a useful answer to a familiar compilation problem: how can a label sampler feel like more than a pile of highlights? Its answer was scale and patience. The third entry in Bedrock Records’ Quattro series is arranged as four full-length artist albums, allowing each contributor to establish a complete musical character rather than being reduced to a single representative track.

That structure makes Digweed’s role especially legible. He is not presented as the star of a continuous mix, but as a curator opening four doors into Bedrock’s wider vocabulary. Quivver’s Revelate begins the set with tense, cinematic momentum and a late-night techno pulse. Captain Mustache’s Indigo Memories follows with a more expansive electro palette, balancing weighty synths and shadowed drums against softer vocal and instrumental details.

The third disc shifts toward Satoshi Fumi’s polished meeting of deep house, techno and acid, with older electronic and house influences reframed in a contemporary setting. Lopezhouse close with Apollo, where ambient space and darker synth tones give the collection a reflective, almost cathartic finish.

Quattro Artists is available digitally and on CD.
