Mathame Turn Toward the Club with the Japanese-Inspired ‘Yogen’

Mathame released “Yogen” on May 1 as a standalone single. The Japanese-inspired concept opens a more direct club chapter, with the Italian duo focused on the room and the crowd.

“Yogen” had already been circulating in sets, including early appearances at Ultra, Coachella and Factory Town. That gives the club focus some context before the release date, without turning one single into a claim about an entire career.

The release stays at single scale: a Japanese-inspired concept, a more direct dancefloor brief and pre-release support. No larger album is attached to “Yogen.”
