Romain Garcia’s Before You Go EP is an introduction to a Parisian producer with a melodic-house vocabulary. Released on Anjunadeep on February 25, 2022, it is Garcia’s label debut, with four originals that build atmosphere without losing the song.
The title track leads with haunting chords and a memorable vocal riff, balancing introspection with an immediate hook. “Lights” shifts the energy upward: Garcia supplies the vocals himself while oscillating pads and echoing basslines give the track a more kinetic, club-ready pull. “Blue Parrot” takes a more mysterious route, pairing vocals with strings so the arrangement feels textured rather than overfilled. Then “Ona” closes the main sequence warmly and on an uplifting note, giving the EP a natural sense of release.
Taken together, the four tracks show more range than the EP’s compact scale suggests: vocal intimacy, rhythmic drive, orchestral color and open-hearted melody all have their place. Each track has its own identity, while Garcia’s melodic approach holds the sequence together.
